A Clear, Caring, and Responsible Foundation for Every Puppy Placement
These terms are designed to protect our puppies, support our families, and ensure that every adoption experience is built on transparency, trust, and shared responsibility. Please review all details carefully before placing a deposit, joining our waitlist, or reserving a puppy.
1. General Use of This Website
This website is provided for informational purposes to help prospective families learn more about our program, our values, our puppies, and our placement process. By accessing or using this website, you agree to use it in a lawful, respectful, and appropriate manner. You may browse, read, and contact us for legitimate inquiry purposes, but you may not misuse the site, copy protected content without permission, attempt unauthorized access, or use our materials for deceptive, misleading, or commercial imitation purposes.
We reserve the right to update, suspend, modify, or remove website content at any time without prior notice. Information on this website may be revised as litters, availability, health protocols, policies, or breeder practices evolve.
2. Ethical Breeding and Placement Standards
Golden Maple Retrievers is committed to responsible and ethical breeding practices. Our focus is on temperament, health, structure, early development, and placing healthy Golden Retriever puppies in Canada into homes prepared for lifelong care and commitment. We do not support impulse purchases, puppy flipping, resale activity, or unsafe placement arrangements.
Submission of an inquiry, application, or deposit does not automatically guarantee approval for a puppy. We reserve the right to decline or cancel a placement when we believe a home, circumstance, timing, or request is not in the puppy’s best interest. Our decisions are guided by the welfare of our dogs and our breeding ethics.
We strive to provide family-raised Golden Retriever puppies that have received attentive care, early socialization, and a thoughtful foundation. However, responsible dog ownership remains a long-term commitment requiring time, training, veterinary care, patience, and financial readiness.
3. Availability, Waitlists, and Puppy Selection
All puppy availability shown on this website is subject to change at any time. Availability status, expected litter timing, gender ratio, coat shade, and placement sequence cannot be absolutely guaranteed. Planned breedings and anticipated litters are estimates only and may change due to health, timing, veterinary guidance, breeding outcomes, or program decisions.
Families who join a waitlist understand that placement timing may vary. A waitlist is not a guarantee of immediate availability, and a specific puppy may not be assigned until the breeder determines that placement order, temperament fit, and litter development are appropriate for final matching.
Where applicable, selection order, reservation sequence, and final pairing may be determined by breeder discretion, family suitability, and the best overall outcome for each puppy.
4. Deposits, Reservations, and Payments
Deposits may be requested to reserve a puppy, hold a position on a waitlist, or confirm serious intent. Unless otherwise stated in writing, deposits are generally considered non-refundable because they represent a commitment, limit availability to other approved families, and involve active planning within our breeding program.
In certain circumstances, at our sole discretion, a deposit may be transferred to a future litter or waitlist period. Any transfer, credit, exception, or special arrangement must be confirmed in writing. Final balances, pickup schedules, and accepted payment methods may be communicated directly once placement is confirmed.
We reserve the right to cancel a reservation if payment deadlines are missed, if communication becomes unresponsive, or if we reasonably believe the placement should not proceed. In such cases, any refund or credit decision remains at our discretion and may depend on the circumstances of the cancellation.
5. Health Information and Veterinary Care
We take great care to produce and raise healthy Golden Retriever puppies through thoughtful breeding decisions, attentive early care, and age-appropriate veterinary protocols. Information regarding vaccines, deworming, general wellness, feeding, early development, and take-home guidance may be provided at the time of pickup or placement.
While we make every reasonable effort to support healthy outcomes, no breeder can guarantee that a dog will remain free of every illness, injury, sensitivity, environmental reaction, or future genetic development. A puppy’s long-term health is influenced by many factors, including ongoing care, nutrition, training, exercise, environment, and veterinary follow-up.
Families are responsible for arranging continued veterinary care after placement and for reviewing any health records, guidance, or recommendations provided by us. Any formal health guarantee, if offered, should be governed by a separate written agreement rather than website summary text alone.
6. Pickup, Delivery, and Transition to the New Home
Puppy pickup dates, transition timing, and release age are determined based on development, health, veterinary guidance, and readiness. No puppy will be released before we believe the puppy is ready to transition safely and appropriately to a new home.
Families are expected to arrive on time, communicate respectfully, and prepare their home in advance. If transportation or delivery options are offered, those details must be discussed and approved separately. We reserve the right to delay or refuse release if there are concerns regarding safety, welfare, destination arrangements, or overall suitability.
Once a puppy leaves our care, the new owner assumes responsibility for supervision, transport conditions, environmental safety, scheduling follow-up veterinary visits, and providing an appropriate transition into the home.
7. Buyer Responsibilities
By moving forward with a puppy inquiry, waitlist, or reservation, prospective owners acknowledge that Golden Retrievers require substantial time, financial commitment, exercise, grooming, attention, training, and companionship. Families should carefully evaluate their readiness before proceeding.
The buyer is responsible for maintaining a safe living environment, providing routine and emergency veterinary care, following local licensing requirements, complying with applicable bylaws or housing rules, and offering humane, lifelong care. We strongly encourage positive reinforcement training, structure, socialization, and a patient transition period.
Misrepresentation of household circumstances, concealment of important information, or failure to uphold basic welfare expectations may affect approval, reservation status, or future breeder support.
8. No Guaranteed Outcomes on Preference Requests
We understand that many families have preferences regarding sex, coat shade, personality, activity level, or timing. We do our best to guide families thoughtfully, but no specific feature, appearance, or timeline is guaranteed unless clearly confirmed in writing. Temperament continues developing over time, and early impressions are not always final predictions.
Our role is to place puppies responsibly, not simply to match visual preference alone. When appropriate, we may recommend a puppy based on overall fit, household dynamics, and the long-term success of the placement.
9. Intellectual Property and Website Content
All written content, branding elements, logo usage, breeder descriptions, photographs we own, graphics, and website structure are the property of Golden Maple Retrievers unless otherwise credited. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, republish, or commercially exploit our content without prior written consent.
Unauthorized use of our name, images, wording, puppy listings, or breeder identity in misleading ads, impersonation attempts, false listings, or resale activity is strictly prohibited.
10. Communication and Inquiry Conduct
We welcome respectful inquiries from families who are genuinely interested in welcoming a puppy into their home. We aim to communicate clearly and warmly, and we ask the same in return. Harassment, abusive language, dishonesty, pressure tactics, chargeback threats, or inappropriate conduct may result in termination of communication, cancellation of a reservation, or refusal of service.
Email responses may take time depending on litter schedules, family care responsibilities, veterinary appointments, and workload. Submission of a contact form does not create a contractual relationship.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Golden Maple Retrievers shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of website use, inquiry delays, waitlist expectations, changes in litter timing, or matters beyond our reasonable control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted website availability or error-free digital operation.
Website information is provided in good faith, but should not be treated as veterinary, legal, or financial advice. Formal purchase terms, health guarantee details, and puppy placement terms may be addressed in separate written agreements where applicable.
12. Returns, Rehoming, and Breeder Contact
We care deeply about every puppy we place. If a family’s circumstances change and they are no longer able to keep their dog, we strongly encourage immediate contact with us before any transfer, resale, shelter surrender, or third-party rehoming is considered. While each case may require individual discussion, our preference is always to protect the dog’s welfare and help guide a responsible outcome where possible.
Any specific return, rehoming, breeding restriction, or ownership condition may be governed by a separate written puppy contract when applicable.
13. Privacy of Shared Information
Any personal details you submit through this website, such as your name, email address, phone number, household information, or inquiry details, are provided voluntarily for communication and placement-related purposes. We aim to handle your information respectfully and only as reasonably needed to respond to inquiries, assess suitability, communicate updates, and maintain breeder-family contact.
14. Updates to These Terms
These terms may be revised from time to time to reflect updated practices, legal requirements, breeder standards, or program changes. The most current version published on this website should be considered the active version unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.
Continued use of this website, continued participation in our inquiry process, or continued communication with our program after updates are posted may be treated as acceptance of the revised terms.
